Join Medfield Parks & Recreation for a fun-filled SIX weeks of skiing or snowboarding at Nashoba Valley! Send your child on charter buses to Nashoba for skiing, lessons and a memorable time with friends.
Now is the best time to learn to ski or snowboard! And if you already ski and/or snowboard, you can polish those skills each week. This program will include transportation to and from Nashoba Valley and lift ticket, with the option to add weekly lessons with the staff from Nashoba. ALL participants must be enrolled at Blake Middle School to attend. ***IMPORTANT INFORMATION***
-- We have limited spots available for this trip. Please register early to guarantee your child's spot.
-- CHAPERONES NEEDED! We will be in need of volunteer chaperone's for these trips. If we do not have enough volunteers on any given week we may need to cancel the trip for that week!
We ideally need 2-3 chaperones PER BUS and will likely have 3 buses total.
Please email Eric Kevorkian at firstname.lastname@example.org with dates available to volunteer!
-- A PRE-FIT for anyone needing to RENT equipment for the trips will be held at the Pfaff Center on MONDAY, DECEMBER 2ND FROM 6:00-7:00! You must attend this session with your child if you plan on renting equipment. At this session, you will pay Nashoba Valley direct for the cost of renting any equipment (cash or check will be accepted). If you are unable to attend, you will need to visit Nashoba on your own time to get fitted. Rental equipment will be $115; cost of rental equipment WITH a helmet is $155.
-- HELMETS WILL BE REQUIRED FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS ON THIS TRIP. If you come without a helmet, you can rent one from Nashoba Valley. No one will be allowed to ski or snowboard without a helmet. Medfield Parks and Recreation does not cover this additional expense.-- Blake Middle School will be able to store equipment on the morning of the trip for all kids attending the trip. It will be kept at the school until dismissal at which time the kids will be responsible for bringing their equipment to the bus for transport to Nashoba.-- We have a VERY STRICT policy with regards to the bus. If your child takes the bus with us to Nashoba, they must take the bus home with us, no exceptions. No child will be allowed to get picked up by a parent or guardian at Nashoba. Again, this is a no exceptions policy. -- Medfield Parks & Recreation and the Town of Medfield is not responsible for any items left behind at Nashoba. Your child must make sure they have all their belongings with them when we leave. We will not turn the bus around to retrieve any items once we have left Nashoba Valley.-- Please be on time when picking up your child at Blake Middle School each week upon our return from the trip. Depending on traffic, we should be back at Blake Middle School between 7:30 and 8pm each week. -- Any questions, please direct them to Eric Kevorkian, Program Coordinator, at email@example.com or Kevin Ryder, Director of Parks & Recreation, at firstname.lastname@example.org. We can also be reached at the office at 508-359-2715.
