9:15 AM - 10:00 AM    FREE Kids Nutrition Classes! - Children's Nutrition Class
Medfield Parks and Recreation is pleased to be collaborating with the Board of Health to offer residents this FREE Children's Nutrition program that will be hosted at the Pfaff Center starting Wednesday, January 16th! Please note that there are limited spots for the program so please do not delay in registering for this program. Classes are led by public health nurse Alyssa Kaiser and will focus on healthy nutrition options through music, stories, crafts, and various activities on a weekly basis. Classes will run from 9:15-10:00 and are for kids ages 3 to 5 years old.  Please note that all participants must be fully potty trained in order to attend - no exceptions!

Does your child love to run, jump, climb, and tumble???  Then his "play" on America Ninja Warriors is the perfect class!  Each week your child will participate in stretching, obstacles, and games to help gross motor skills, fitness, and fun!  From swinging on a high bar to balance beams, tumbling on mats to leaping into a ball pit - your child is sure to have a blast!

Looking to extend your child’s Kindergarten experience? This is our SIXTH YEAR running this successful enrichment program for kids enrolled in the morning half day OR afternoon half day Kindergarten program!Join former elementary school teacher Maureen Dodge and Medfield Parks & Rec for an extended Kindergarten experience every week. When the school bell rings at Memorial, the day is not over! Your child will come to the Pfaff Center for an extended Kindergarten day filled with play and learning. NEW THIS YEAR: If your child takes part in the AFTERNOON KINDERGARTEN at Memorial, we've got you covered! You will drop your child off at the Pfaff Center on Tuesday mornings, and we will transport them to Memorial after our program is over for drop off. Once a week, your child will get the experience of a full day Kindergarten program!This will be an extension of the Kindergarten experience at Memorial. Activities will include everything from games to writing to numbers and more! Class is open to non-residents! For non-residents, your child just must be in Kindergarten and you would need to provide transportation to the Pfaff Center for class. Registration fee DOES NOT include a $20 materials fee, which will be paid directly to Maureen Dodge on the first day of the program. Any questions, do not hesitate to contact Kevin Ryder, Director of Parks & Recreation, at kryder@medfield.net.

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM    Field Hockey (Introduction) - Intro to Field Hockey (Indoors - Wednesday)
Learn the basics in field hockey! All skill levels are welcome. We will explore the basic rules of the game, proper grips & posture, ball and stick control, tackling, receiving/trapping, passing and go through fun drills. Depending on class size, we will try to get some game action in as well!Required equipment includes a field hockey stick, shin guards and mouth guard. Class will be led by coach Lynne Malmquist, a former varsity field hockey player at Medfield High School.** Note -- Indoor sessions will be held at the Pfaff Center, 124 North St. Due to the size of the space, we will only be running an indoor session for grades 2-3. --> SPRING 2019 dates will be posted soon! --> FALL 2019 LEAGUE INFORMATION WILL BE UP ONCE CONFIRMED WITH THE LEAGUE!

BRAND NEW CLASS! ADULT HIP HOP DANCE! With the popularity of our kids program, we have partnered with ALY PEREIRA, a dancer with the Boston Celtics, to offer a similar program for adults! Join Boston Celtics dancer Aly Pereira as she teaches the latest dance moves to the most popular music out right now!  You will learn various dances to popular songs as the class incorporates choreography and different forms of freestyle movement.

Join fellow table tennis players from Medfield and surrounding communities for some friendly competition.  This fun drop-in program is designed to provide competitive table tennis action for adults who want to improve their knowledge and skills of the game. The program follows U.S.T.T.A. and the International Table Tennis Federation rules. Please bring your own table tennis paddle and wear comfortable clothing; please no black soled shoes. Body Sculpt is a combination of ballet-inspired exercises, isometrics, strength-training, and stretching.  This approach to exercise is not at all strenuous, but is incredibly effective at transforming the body - especially for women.  Participants will see and feel improvement in posture, thinner thighs, chiseled arms, a sculpted back, flatter abs, and a lifted "seat".Exercises can always be modified whether you're a beginner, pregnant, or have an injury, but can also be amplified if you're advanced or looking for more of a challenge.  Classes are led by instructor Jennifer Jaques who is a dancer, trained at the Boston Conservatory, and has been teaching at Universities and studios in Boston and the Metro West area for over 30 years!Classes are offered twice a week, You can take either class, or both!

Introduce your youngster to a multitude of sports in classes taught by the professionals of John Smith Sports.Early Fall and Spring classes are held outdoors at McCarthy Park.  If there is inclement weather, class will run from 10:30-11:15 at the Pfaff Center!  Current session is held INDOORS @ The Pfaff Center!

Experience two traditional forms of dance in one program. Participants enhance their coordination, balance and flexibility through introductory ballet. The tap component focuses on rhythm and counting. Both components of class work toward following directions, working with a group and acquiring skills necessary to perform in a group.

Join Instructor and former integrated PK Teacher at Memorial school, Jenifer Harrison, for this new, engaging, and informative learn and play experience for your young kids ages 2-3! Parents/caregivers will stay for the first 15 minutes of class as they participate in a collective sharing time while the children become acquainted and get settled in.  During this time, topics surrounding developmental stages and guiding positive behavior will be addressed.  Parents/caregivers are then welcome to leave for the remaining hour as the children learn through play - focusing on sharing, socialization, and being part of a group.  There will also be a movement, and a story/song component to each class!**If your child is not potty trained, a parent/caregiver must remain in the building for the duration of the class**

NEW FOR FALL 2018 & WINTER 2019! Lets get creative with electricity!  In this class, students will gain experience with creating their own electronics; designing custom light-up greeting cards, electric games, mazes, and even musical instruments!  Weekly sessions consist of a circuitry lesson and a hands-on electronic project, using components like lights, buzzers, switches, motors, and sensors.   Circuit Lab staff will make sure participants create a project that they can be proud of each day.  Most class days will include a take-home project. 
 
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM    Step Aerobics - Step Aerobics (Tue)
A fast, fun and effective way to get your heart pumping! This step aerobics class offers 30 minutes of cardio exercise followed by 30 minutes of a complete toning workout. Hand weights are used for an upper body strengthening section, and steps are adjustable so the workout is personalized to your fitness level. This can be hi or LOW impact - YOU choose (walk, run or jump).

Parents/caregivers will stay for the first 15 minutes of class as they participate in a collective sharing time while the children become acquainted and get settled in.  During this time, topics surrounding developmental stages and guiding positive behavior will be addressed.  Parents/caregivers are then welcome to leave for the remaining hour as the children learn through play - focusing on sharing, socialization, and being part of a group.  There will also be a movement, and a story/song component to each class!**If your child is not potty trained, a parent/caregiver must remain in the building for the duration of the class**

Lets get creative with electricity!  In this class, students will gain experience with creating their own electronics; designing custom light-up greeting cards, electric games, mazes, and even musical instruments!  Weekly sessions consist of a circuitry lesson and a hands-on electronic project, using components like lights, buzzers, switches, motors, and sensors.   Circuit Lab staff will make sure participants create a project that they can be proud of each day.  Most class days will include a take-home project.

A fast, fun and effective way to get your heart pumping! This step aerobics class offers 30 minutes of cardio exercise followed by 30 minutes of a complete toning workout. Hand weights are used for an upper body strengthening section, and steps are adjustable so the workout is personalized to your fitness level. This can be hi or LOW impact - YOU choose (walk, run or jump).

Medfield Parks and Recreation is pleased to be collaborating with the Board of Health to offer residents this FREE Children's Nutrition program that will be hosted at the Pfaff Center starting Wednesday, January 16th! Please note that there are limited spots for the program so please do not delay in registering for this program. Classes are led by public health nurse Alyssa Kaiser and will focus on healthy nutrition options through music, stories, crafts, and various activities on a weekly basis. Classes will run from 9:15-10:00 and are for kids ages 3 to 5 years old.  Please note that all participants must be fully potty trained in order to attend - no exceptions!

You will drop your child off at the Pfaff Center on Tuesday mornings, and we will transport them to Memorial after our program is over for drop off. Once a week, your child will get the experience of a full day Kindergarten program!This will be an extension of the Kindergarten experience at Memorial. Activities will include everything from games to writing to numbers and more! Class is open to non-residents! Learn the basics in field hockey! All skill levels are welcome. We will explore the basic rules of the game, proper grips & posture, ball and stick control, tackling, receiving/trapping, passing and go through fun drills. Drama Kids is in it's 8th year!   Drama Kids highly trained teachers motivate and inspire the students to become articulate communicators through enthusiastic participation in a wide range of creative activities including speech, creative movement, improvisation, and scene work.  This school-year program culminates in a special Production of an Original Play written specifically for each level of Drama Kids. Students can join Drama Kids at any time throughout the year!!   Sept through January sessions are skills based.

Signing your kids up for Summer Discovery?  February Discovery is a great way to introduce your kids to what's in store for them during the summer!Kids ages 4-8 will join us at the Pfaff Center as they experience a typical 1/2 day of our Summer Discovery Camp! Participants will enjoy a wide variety of crafts, games, and exciting activities that will be sure to keep them busy throughout the day!  If weather permits, they will go outside from some playground time as well!Kids will need the following on a daily basis:~Water Bottle~Snack~Lunch~Seasonal Outdoor Gear (Boots, Hat, Gloves/Mittens, Snow Pants)Drop off is at 9am - Pick Up is at 1pm -- ID REQUIRED at pick up! The program will run from 9am-1pm, Tuesday, Feb. 19 through Friday, Feb 22. Feel free to sign up for any single day, or all 4!

Join fellow table tennis players from Medfield and surrounding communities for some friendly competition.  This fun drop-in program is designed to provide competitive table tennis action for adults who want to improve their knowledge and skills of the game. The program follows U.S.T.T.A. and the International Table Tennis Federation rules. Please bring your own table tennis paddle and wear comfortable clothing; please no black soled shoes.
