We are excited to be able to offer this spinoff of Miss Jen's class from the past couple of years. We are sad she could no longer lead the class, but excited to have a new instructor step in to continue the program!Miss Maureen will be offering the class on WEDNESDAYS. She is a former elementary educator and a mom to two boys in the Medfield school system!Parents/caregivers will stay for the first 15 minutes of class as they participate in a collective sharing time while the children become acquainted and get settled in.  During this time, topics surrounding developmental stages and guiding positive behavior will be addressed.  Parents/caregivers are then welcome to leave for the remaining hour as the children learn through play - focusing on sharing, socialization, and being part of a group.  There will also be a movement, and a story/song component to each class!**If your child is not potty trained, a parent/caregiver must remain in the building for the duration of the class**

MEDFIELD GIRLS YOUTH FIELD HOCKEY REGISTRATION BEGINS ON JULY 1!We are super excited to announce our participation in the Commonwealth Girls Field Hockey League this fall for the second consecutive year. Our teams will host games at Metacomet Park and play road games against teams from Attleboro, Walpole, Franklin, Foxboro, Norwood and more! As part of the league, we will host one weekly practice in addition to the game on Saturday. Weekly practices will take place at McCarthy Park. We will need at least 14 players on each team to be able to enter the league, and will be able to have a maximum of 18 players on each team.REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Wednesday, July 24! We need to be able to inform the league if we will have a team!The fee will include everything EXCEPT a uniform. We will have a fitting for uniforms on Wednesday, July 24 at 6:15PM. We are working on a cost for the uniforms, but do not expect it to exceed $60. This will be payable by cash/check at the night of the fitting.FIELD HOCKEY goggles will be required of all players by the league this year. You cannot wear lacrosse goggles as the referees will not allow those in games. We are working with a distributor to get field hockey goggles to be able to sell to anyone that will need them. Cost will be approximately $30. BRAND NEW CLASS! ADULT HIP HOP DANCE! With the popularity of our kids program, we have partnered with ALY PEREIRA, a dancer with the Boston Celtics, to offer a similar program for adults! Join Boston Celtics dancer Aly Pereira as she teaches the latest dance moves to the most popular music out right now!  You will learn various dances to popular songs as the class incorporates choreography and different forms of freestyle movement.

Join fellow table tennis players from Medfield and surrounding communities for some friendly competition.  This fun drop-in program is designed to provide competitive table tennis action for adults who want to improve their knowledge and skills of the game. The program follows U.S.T.T.A. and the International Table Tennis Federation rules. Please bring your own table tennis paddle and wear comfortable clothing; please no black soled shoes. Body Sculpt is a combination of ballet-inspired exercises, isometrics, strength-training, and stretching.  This approach to exercise is not at all strenuous, but is incredibly effective at transforming the body - especially for women.  Participants will see and feel improvement in posture, thinner thighs, chiseled arms, a sculpted back, flatter abs, and a lifted "seat".Exercises can always be modified whether you're a beginner, pregnant, or have an injury, but can also be amplified if you're advanced or looking for more of a challenge.  Classes are led by instructor Jennifer Jaques who is a dancer, trained at the Boston Conservatory, and has been teaching at Universities and studios in Boston and the Metro West area for over 30 years!Classes are offered twice a week, You can take either class, or both!

Experience two traditional forms of dance in one program. Participants enhance their coordination, balance and flexibility through introductory ballet. FALL 2019! Is your child too young for the PK Soccer league, but  ready to start organized soccer activities?  Medfield Parks and Recreation has you covered with our new MICRO SOCCER LEAGUE for kids ages 3-4+ (Birthday must be before 8/31/2016 - no exceptions)! The Micro Soccer League will be held on Saturday mornings from 8:00-8:40 at McCarthy Fields.  This basic instructional league will be led by volunteer coaches and is designed as an introduction to organized soccer activities, drills, and general game-play.  Participants will have ~15-20 minutes of instruction, followed by ~20 minutes of game-play. Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art form often referred to as the practice of "meditation in motion."  The gentle, flowing movements in Tai Chi promote relaxation, stress relief and conscious awareness of present moment.  Tai Chi may help reduce stress, depression and anxiety, improve your balance and coordination, lower your blood pressure and promote better sleep, among many other benefits.  Because it is a gentle, low-impact exercise, Tai Chi is generally suitable for people of any level of physical fitness.Instructor Jennifer Jaques teaches the Yang 24 short form (the most widely practiced routine worldwide).  Because each session starts at the beginning, these classes work for people of all levels of experience.

Body Sculpt is a combination of ballet-inspired exercises, isometrics, strength-training, and stretching.  This approach to exercise is not at all strenuous, but is incredibly effective at transforming the body - especially for women.  Participants will see and feel improvement in posture, thinner thighs, chiseled arms, a sculpted back, flatter abs, and a lifted "seat".Exercises can always be modified whether you're a beginner, pregnant, or have an injury, but can also be amplified if you're advanced or looking for more of a challenge.  Classes are led by instructor Jennifer Jaques who is a dancer, trained at the Boston Conservatory, and has been teaching at Universities and studios in Boston and the Metro West area for over 30 years!Classes are offered twice a week, You can take either class, or both!

We are excited to be able to offer this spinoff of Miss Jen's class from the past couple of years. We are sad she could no longer lead the class, but excited to have a new instructor step in to continue the program!Miss Maureen will be offering the class on WEDNESDAYS. She is a former elementary educator and a mom to two boys in the Medfield school system!Parents/caregivers will stay for the first 15 minutes of class as they participate in a collective sharing time while the children become acquainted and get settled in.  During this time, topics surrounding developmental stages and guiding positive behavior will be addressed.  Parents/caregivers are then welcome to leave for the remaining hour as the children learn through play - focusing on sharing, socialization, and being part of a group.  There will also be a movement, and a story/song component to each class!**If your child is not potty trained, a parent/caregiver must remain in the building for the duration of the class**

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art form often referred to as the practice of "meditation in motion."  The gentle, flowing movements in Tai Chi promote relaxation, stress relief and conscious awareness of present moment.  Tai Chi may help reduce stress, depression and anxiety, improve your balance and coordination, lower your blood pressure and promote better sleep, among many other benefits.  Because it is a gentle, low-impact exercise, Tai Chi is generally suitable for people of any level of physical fitness.Instructor Jennifer Jaques teaches the Yang 24 short form (the most widely practiced routine worldwide).  Because each session starts at the beginning, these classes work for people of all levels of experience.

2:30 PM - 3:30 PM    FIELD HOCKEY YOUTH LEAGUE - Grade 5/6 Team
MEDFIELD GIRLS YOUTH FIELD HOCKEY REGISTRATION BEGINS ON JULY 1!We are super excited to announce our participation in the Commonwealth Girls Field Hockey League this fall for the second consecutive year. Our teams will host games at Metacomet Park and play road games against teams from Attleboro, Walpole, Franklin, Foxboro, Norwood and more! As part of the league, we will host one weekly practice in addition to the game on Saturday. Weekly practices will take place at McCarthy Park. We will need at least 14 players on each team to be able to enter the league, and will be able to have a maximum of 18 players on each team.REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Wednesday, July 24! We need to be able to inform the league if we will have a team!The fee will include everything EXCEPT a uniform. We will have a fitting for uniforms on Wednesday, July 24 at 6:15PM. We are working on a cost for the uniforms, but do not expect it to exceed $60. This will be payable by cash/check at the night of the fitting.FIELD HOCKEY goggles will be required of all players by the league this year. You cannot wear lacrosse goggles as the referees will not allow those in games. We are working with a distributor to get field hockey goggles to be able to sell to anyone that will need them. Cost will be approximately $30. Body Sculpt is a combination of ballet-inspired exercises, isometrics, strength-training, and stretching.  This approach to exercise is not at all strenuous, but is incredibly effective at transforming the body - especially for women.  Participants will see and feel improvement in posture, thinner thighs, chiseled arms, a sculpted back, flatter abs, and a lifted "seat".Exercises can always be modified whether you're a beginner, pregnant, or have an injury, but can also be amplified if you're advanced or looking for more of a challenge.  Classes are led by instructor Jennifer Jaques who is a dancer, trained at the Boston Conservatory, and has been teaching at Universities and studios in Boston and the Metro West area for over 30 years!Classes are offered twice a week, You can take either class, or both!

This can be hi or LOW impact - YOU choose (walk, run or jump).

We are excited to be able to offer this spinoff of Miss Jen's class from the past couple of years. We are sad she could no longer lead the class, but excited to have a new instructor step in to continue the program!Miss Maureen will be offering the class on WEDNESDAYS. She is a former elementary educator and a mom to two boys in the Medfield school system!Parents/caregivers will stay for the first 15 minutes of class as they participate in a collective sharing time while the children become acquainted and get settled in.  During this time, topics surrounding developmental stages and guiding positive behavior will be addressed.  Parents/caregivers are then welcome to leave for the remaining hour as the children learn through play - focusing on sharing, socialization, and being part of a group.  There will also be a movement, and a story/song component to each class!**If your child is not potty trained, a parent/caregiver must remain in the building for the duration of the class**

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art form often referred to as the practice of "meditation in motion."  The gentle, flowing movements in Tai Chi promote relaxation, stress relief and conscious awareness of present moment.  Tai Chi may help reduce stress, depression and anxiety, improve your balance and coordination, lower your blood pressure and promote better sleep, among many other benefits.  Because it is a gentle, low-impact exercise, Tai Chi is generally suitable for people of any level of physical fitness.Instructor Jennifer Jaques teaches the Yang 24 short form (the most widely practiced routine worldwide).  Because each session starts at the beginning, these classes work for people of all levels of experience.

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art form often referred to as the practice of "meditation in motion."  The gentle, flowing movements in Tai Chi promote relaxation, stress relief and conscious awareness of present moment.  Tai Chi may help reduce stress, depression and anxiety, improve your balance and coordination, lower your blood pressure and promote better sleep, among many other benefits.  Because it is a gentle, low-impact exercise, Tai Chi is generally suitable for people of any level of physical fitness.Instructor Jennifer Jaques teaches the Yang 24 short form (the most widely practiced routine worldwide).  Because each session starts at the beginning, these classes work for people of all levels of experience.

Body Sculpt is a combination of ballet-inspired exercises, isometrics, strength-training, and stretching.  This approach to exercise is not at all strenuous, but is incredibly effective at transforming the body - especially for women.  Participants will see and feel improvement in posture, thinner thighs, chiseled arms, a sculpted back, flatter abs, and a lifted "seat".Exercises can always be modified whether you're a beginner, pregnant, or have an injury, but can also be amplified if you're advanced or looking for more of a challenge.  Classes are led by instructor Jennifer Jaques who is a dancer, trained at the Boston Conservatory, and has been teaching at Universities and studios in Boston and the Metro West area for over 30 years!Classes are offered twice a week, You can take either class, or both!

Introduce your youngster to a multitude of sports in classes taught by the professionals of John Smith Sports.Early Fall and Spring classes are held outdoors at McCarthy Park.  If there is inclement weather, class will run from 10:30-11:15 at the Pfaff Center!  Current session is held OUTDOORS @ McCarthy Park! (44 Hospital Rd) NOVEMBER/WINTER SESSIONS will run indoors @ The Pfaff Center

Each week your child will create their own masterpiece, using a wide variety of exciting art materials.  Experimenting with colors and textures will allow them the opportunity for self-expression and the ability to use their imagination!  They will also work on developing fine mother skills, and the ability to listen and follow directions...all while having fun and getting a little messy!ELVES' WORKSHOP - The Pfaff Center will be turned into an Elves' workshop this November and December!  Each week your child will make a take-home, handmade gift that they can give to someone special this Holiday Season!Instructed by Summer Discovery Specialist Ana Conneely! Parent/Guardian must stay for class if child is not potty trained!

A fast, fun and effective way to get your heart pumping! This step aerobics class offers 30 minutes of cardio exercise followed by 30 minutes of a complete toning workout. Hand weights are used for an upper body strengthening section, and steps are adjustable so the workout is personalized to your fitness level. This can be hi or LOW impact - YOU choose (walk, run or jump).

We are excited to be able to offer this spinoff of Miss Jen's class from the past couple of years. We are sad she could no longer lead the class, but excited to have a new instructor step in to continue the program!Miss Maureen will be offering the class on WEDNESDAYS. She is a former elementary educator and a mom to two boys in the Medfield school system!Parents/caregivers will stay for the first 15 minutes of class as they participate in a collective sharing time while the children become acquainted and get settled in.  During this time, topics surrounding developmental stages and guiding positive behavior will be addressed.  Parents/caregivers are then welcome to leave for the remaining hour as the children learn through play - focusing on sharing, socialization, and being part of a group.  There will also be a movement, and a story/song component to each class!**If your child is not potty trained, a parent/caregiver must remain in the building for the duration of the class**

The emphasis of this class is to have fun and develop the basic skills of basketball. The class is designed to provide each child with the skills they will need to move along in their basketball endeavors, including dribbling, passing and shooting.Coach Kevin and Coach Brian will lead our young basketball stars through a variety of fun games, skills and drills. The Main Hall of the Pfaff will turn into our own Boston Garden! Class is open to any kids in Pre-K or Kindergarten, or that are at least 4 years old. Please note this is a class, not a league.
