The day camp program is designed to ensure each camper develops their fundamental skills, has fun and demonstrates high levels of sportsmanship. The program incorporates small group play in 1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3, up to 6 on 6 formats. This model enhances campers’ ability to play as a team. Join a fun filled week with an energetic, experienced and encouraging set of coaches. Each camper will receive a ball and a shirt. NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Learn beginner fundamentals, proper technique and strokes from the skilled professionals of Dick Waterfall Tennis. Lessons are designed for beginner through intermediate skilled players. Participants will be grouped by age and/or skill level.Equipment will not be provided.  Children ages 5-8 should have a 21 inch racquet.Children ages 8-12 should have a 23 inch racquet.Please note that this is a 4-day program that runs Monday through Thursday, with Friday serving as a potential make-up date in case of rain.

Come Join SNAPOLOGY for Pokemania! Students will build and explore the world of Pokemon as they create their own gyms, battles, and even their very own generation of Pokemon! Students will also learn about real world science as they learn about the habitats of the Pokemon.  Your child will have a blast becoming the best Pokemon trainer EVER! This program is from 9am - 12pm at the Pfaff Center

Laxachusetts Girls Lacrosse and Medfield Parks and Recreation are joining forces to provide a summer program for both NEW AND CURRENT lacrosse players!This program is led by the Laxachusetts girls staff, and will focus on improving individual stick work, team concepts, offensive/defensive strategies, small side games and fun competitions!  All participants will need to bring a stick, goggles, mouth guard, water, and their intensity!PLEASE NOTE: This is a 4-day program with Friday set as the make-up date if needed!

MINECRAFT MANIA IS BACK FOR 2019!!!Minecraft Mania is a blend of virtual learning and companion hands-on activities that explore science and engineering using Minecraft. Use an interactive avatar to investigate a game-based educational environment. Minecraft Mania lessons have both computer and real world components covering geology, engineering, physics, and biology. Serious Minecraft Maniacs will be excited to learn about the properties of rocks and minerals and take home their own rock collection. We’ll use our skills to build skyscrapers and simple machines as well as plant our own crops in enjoyable experiential challenges. Open to all students in grades K - 6!  Students will be grouped by age for the activities and work together to create their show.  There are NO auditions!  Everyone is an active participant.  Drama Kids is open to ALL levels of experience. Medfield Parks and Recreation, in conjunction with Drama Kids of Metrowest present:   Summer Theme: Drama Kids Got Talent!Drama Kids is bringing back an old favorite...with a new twist!  Participants will work on developing talents to create their own game show...complete with funny judges and more!  No need to have a specific talent, we can create one!  The sillier the talent, the better!This summer workshop will include skills instruction as well as play development through Drama Kids' tried and true methods of teaching.  Drama Kids teachers are looking forward to a fun and engaging week with your Drama Kids! Our fun activities will guide your Drama Kid through the steps of character development, storytelling, directing and performance. Art activities are related to the plays they write… developing sets, props and costume pieces. Each week will concludes with a performance for family and friends.    Board of Health regulations requires each child to have an up to date health form on file. 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM    FIELD HOCKEY YOUTH LEAGUE - Grade 7/8 Team
MEDFIELD GIRLS YOUTH FIELD HOCKEY REGISTRATION BEGINS ON JULY 1!We are super excited to announce our participation in the Commonwealth Girls Field Hockey League this fall for the second consecutive year. Our teams will host games at Metacomet Park and play road games against teams from Attleboro, Walpole, Franklin, Foxboro, Norwood and more! As part of the league, we will host one weekly practice in addition to the game on Saturday. Weekly practices will take place at McCarthy Park. We will need at least 14 players on each team to be able to enter the league, and will be able to have a maximum of 18 players on each team.REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Wednesday, July 24! We need to be able to inform the league if we will have a team!The fee will include everything EXCEPT a uniform. We will have a fitting for uniforms on Wednesday, July 24 at 6:15PM. We are working on a cost for the uniforms, but do not expect it to exceed $60. This will be payable by cash/check at the night of the fitting.FIELD HOCKEY goggles will be required of all players by the league this year. You cannot wear lacrosse goggles as the referees will not allow those in games. We are working with a distributor to get field hockey goggles to be able to sell to anyone that will need them. Cost will be approximately $30. The first games are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 7.Our coaching staff will be anchored by Lynne Malmquist and Alicia Gray this year! TEAM APPAREL OPTIONSOnce again, we are working with Tri-Valley Sports to offer some team specific apparel options for the field hockey teams. We are offering a navy Under Armour hooide (with option to add player name) and a gray long sleeve Under Armour shirt. These will be available from July 1 - Aug 20 in the online store only. Once the order deadline has passed, they will make the items and we will have a bulk pickup at practice. Join fellow table tennis players from Medfield and surrounding communities for some friendly competition.  This fun drop-in program is designed to provide competitive table tennis action for adults who want to improve their knowledge and skills of the game. The program follows U.S.T.T.A. and the International Table Tennis Federation rules. Please bring your own table tennis paddle and wear comfortable clothing; please no black soled shoes. The day camp program is designed to ensure each camper develops their fundamental skills, has fun and demonstrates high levels of sportsmanship. The program incorporates small group play in 1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3, up to 6 on 6 formats. This model enhances campers’ ability to play as a team. Join a fun filled week with an energetic, experienced and encouraging set of coaches. Each camper will receive a ball and a shirt. Body Sculpt is a combination of ballet-inspired exercises, isometrics, strength-training, and stretching.  This approach to exercise is not at all strenuous, but is incredibly effective at transforming the body - especially for women.  Participants will see and feel improvement in posture, thinner thighs, chiseled arms, a sculpted back, flatter abs, and a lifted "seat".Exercises can always be modified whether you're a beginner, pregnant, or have an injury, but can also be amplified if you're advanced or looking for more of a challenge.  Classes are led by instructor Jennifer Jaques who is a dancer, trained at the Boston Conservatory, and has been teaching at Universities and studios in Boston and the Metro West area for over 30 years!Classes are offered twice a week, You can take either class, or both!

FALL 2019! Is your child too young for the PK Soccer league, but  ready to start organized soccer activities?  Medfield Parks and Recreation has you covered with our new MICRO SOCCER LEAGUE for kids ages 3-4+ (Birthday must be before 8/31/2016 - no exceptions)! The Micro Soccer League will be held on Saturday mornings from 8:00-8:40 at McCarthy Fields.  This basic instructional league will be led by volunteer coaches and is designed as an introduction to organized soccer activities, drills, and general game-play.  Participants will have ~15-20 minutes of instruction, followed by ~20 minutes of game-play. Body Sculpt is a combination of ballet-inspired exercises, isometrics, strength-training, and stretching.  This approach to exercise is not at all strenuous, but is incredibly effective at transforming the body - especially for women.  Participants will see and feel improvement in posture, thinner thighs, chiseled arms, a sculpted back, flatter abs, and a lifted "seat".Exercises can always be modified whether you're a beginner, pregnant, or have an injury, but can also be amplified if you're advanced or looking for more of a challenge.  Classes are led by instructor Jennifer Jaques who is a dancer, trained at the Boston Conservatory, and has been teaching at Universities and studios in Boston and the Metro West area for over 30 years!Classes are offered twice a week, You can take either class, or both!

This proven clinic will help children learn the beginning skills, technique, and etiquette of soccer.  Starting with soft Rhino Skin balls, slowly moving up to size 3 soccer balls, children actively engage in learning everything from passing and kicking, to heading and dribbling skills.  Each class structure is the same; beginning with a short discussion of the game of soccer, stretching and calisthenics, skill lesson, followed by soccer activities and a soccer game.  You will be amazed and your children will feel empowered as they improve throughout the session! Parents are highly encouraged to participate with their child in this program Proper clothing and sneakers are required.Session I is held outdoors, and will be moved indoors to the Pfaff Center in case of inclement weather.

Body Sculpt is a combination of ballet-inspired exercises, isometrics, strength-training, and stretching.  This approach to exercise is not at all strenuous, but is incredibly effective at transforming the body - especially for women.  Participants will see and feel improvement in posture, thinner thighs, chiseled arms, a sculpted back, flatter abs, and a lifted "seat".Exercises can always be modified whether you're a beginner, pregnant, or have an injury, but can also be amplified if you're advanced or looking for more of a challenge.  Classes are led by instructor Jennifer Jaques who is a dancer, trained at the Boston Conservatory, and has been teaching at Universities and studios in Boston and the Metro West area for over 30 years!Classes are offered twice a week, You can take either class, or both!

The Micro Soccer League will be held on Saturday mornings from 8:00-8:40 at McCarthy Fields.  This basic instructional league will be led by volunteer coaches and is designed as an introduction to organized soccer activities, drills, and general game-play.  Participants will have ~15-20 minutes of instruction, followed by ~20 minutes of game-play. Weekly practices will take place at McCarthy Park. We will need at least 14 players on each team to be able to enter the league, and will be able to have a maximum of 18 players on each team.REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Wednesday, July 24! We need to be able to inform the league if we will have a team!The fee will include everything EXCEPT a uniform. We will have a fitting for uniforms on Wednesday, July 24 at 6:15PM. We are working on a cost for the uniforms, but do not expect it to exceed $60. This will be payable by cash/check at the night of the fitting.FIELD HOCKEY goggles will be required of all players by the league this year. This proven clinic will help children learn the beginning skills, technique, and etiquette of soccer.  Starting with soft Rhino Skin balls, slowly moving up to size 3 soccer balls, children actively engage in learning everything from passing and kicking, to heading and dribbling skills.  Each class structure is the same; beginning with a short discussion of the game of soccer, stretching and calisthenics, skill lesson, followed by soccer activities and a soccer game.  You will be amazed and your children will feel empowered as they improve throughout the session! Parents are highly encouraged to participate with their child in this program Proper clothing and sneakers are required.Session I is held outdoors, and will be moved indoors to the Pfaff Center in case of inclement weather.

Our teams will host games at Metacomet Park and play road games against teams from Attleboro, Walpole, Franklin, Foxboro, Norwood and more! As part of the league, we will host one weekly practice in addition to the game on Saturday. Weekly practices will take place at McCarthy Park. We will need at least 14 players on each team to be able to enter the league, and will be able to have a maximum of 18 players on each team.REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Wednesday, July 24! We need to be able to inform the league if we will have a team!The fee will include everything EXCEPT a uniform. We will have a fitting for uniforms on Wednesday, July 24 at 6:15PM. We are working on a cost for the uniforms, but do not expect it to exceed $60. This will be payable by cash/check at the night of the fitting.FIELD HOCKEY goggles will be required of all players by the league this year. You cannot wear lacrosse goggles as the referees will not allow those in games. We are working with a distributor to get field hockey goggles to be able to sell to anyone that will need them. Body Sculpt is a combination of ballet-inspired exercises, isometrics, strength-training, and stretching.  This approach to exercise is not at all strenuous, but is incredibly effective at transforming the body - especially for women.  Participants will see and feel improvement in posture, thinner thighs, chiseled arms, a sculpted back, flatter abs, and a lifted "seat".Exercises can always be modified whether you're a beginner, pregnant, or have an injury, but can also be amplified if you're advanced or looking for more of a challenge.  Classes are led by instructor Jennifer Jaques who is a dancer, trained at the Boston Conservatory, and has been teaching at Universities and studios in Boston and the Metro West area for over 30 years!Classes are offered twice a week, You can take either class, or both!

Is your child too young for the PK Soccer league, but  ready to start organized soccer activities?  Medfield Parks and Recreation has you covered with our new MICRO SOCCER LEAGUE for kids ages 3-4+ (Birthday must be before 8/31/2016 - no exceptions)! The Micro Soccer League will be held on Saturday mornings from 8:00-8:40 at McCarthy Fields.  This basic instructional league will be led by volunteer coaches and is designed as an introduction to organized soccer activities, drills, and general game-play.  Participants will have ~15-20 minutes of instruction, followed by ~20 minutes of game-play. Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art form often referred to as the practice of "meditation in motion."  The gentle, flowing movements in Tai Chi promote relaxation, stress relief and conscious awareness of present moment.  Tai Chi may help reduce stress, depression and anxiety, improve your balance and coordination, lower your blood pressure and promote better sleep, among many other benefits.  Because it is a gentle, low-impact exercise, Tai Chi is generally suitable for people of any level of physical fitness.Instructor Jennifer Jaques teaches the Yang 24 short form (the most widely practiced routine worldwide).  Because each session starts at the beginning, these classes work for people of all levels of experience.

A group of dedicated volunteer coaches will work with your children to teach the basics of the game, teamwork and fun. Games will be held at McCarthy Park on Hospital Road.NO GAME SCHEDULE FOR COLUMBUS DAY WEEKEND! MEDFIELD GIRLS YOUTH FIELD HOCKEY REGISTRATION BEGINS ON JULY 1!We are super excited to announce our participation in the Commonwealth Girls Field Hockey League this fall for the second consecutive year. Our teams will host games at Metacomet Park and play road games against teams from Attleboro, Walpole, Franklin, Foxboro, Norwood and more! As part of the league, we will host one weekly practice in addition to the game on Saturday. Weekly practices will take place at McCarthy Park. We will need at least 14 players on each team to be able to enter the league, and will be able to have a maximum of 18 players on each team.REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Wednesday, July 24! We need to be able to inform the league if we will have a team!The fee will include everything EXCEPT a uniform. We will have a fitting for uniforms on Wednesday, July 24 at 6:15PM. We are working on a cost for the uniforms, but do not expect it to exceed $60. This will be payable by cash/check at the night of the fitting.FIELD HOCKEY goggles will be required of all players by the league this year. You cannot wear lacrosse goggles as the referees will not allow those in games. We are working with a distributor to get field hockey goggles to be able to sell to anyone that will need them. Cost will be approximately $30. Once the order deadline has passed, they will make the items and we will have a bulk pickup at practice.
