What could be better than spending the afternoon at New England’s largest tubing park? Well, nothing! Join Medfield Parks and Recreation as we experience the newest winter recreational activity when we head to Nashoba Valley in Westford, MA for an afternoon filled of snow tubing. The trip will include three hours on the tubing trail and bus transportation to and from Nashoba Valley.
Date: Wednesday, February 6th, 2019 - Half-day in Medfield
Time: 11:15am to ~5:30
Who: Students from Dale St. School and Blake Middle School. Buses will pick up BLAKE STUDENTS @ the school. Dale St. students will be dismissed to the Pfaff Center - pick up note is mandatory for any dismissals!
Drop Off: Participants will be transported, via coach bus, from the Pfaff Center. A signed waiver is required for each child.
Pick Up: The buses will return to the Pfaff Center around 5:30. Students must be signed out and picked up at the Pfaff Center. We will send out an email blast when we depart Nashoba so you have a better idea of when we will return.
Fee: $85 per child, includes coach bus transportation and three hours on the tube trails
***Waiver***: A parent must e-sign the Nashoba Valley Waiver for each child before they may go on the trip. You can complete the waiver HERE.
Other information: There is a snack stand at the tube trails where refreshments will be served, so please send money with your child if you want them to get a snack or drink. Proper attire for this trip is warm winter clothes, gloves and winter hat, and snow pants are recommended. For full information on Nashoba Valley, visit www.skinashoba.com.
~ We plan on leaving the Pfaff Center NO LATER than 12:15. We will be departing the tubing park no later than 4:30 and will send an email to everyone with an ETA to the Dale St. parking lot for pick-up for ALL kids.
~ Kids can bring a lunch (to be eaten at the Pfaff Center, Blake, or at the park - not on the bus) or you can provide them with money to purchase lunch at the park. $15 should be more than enough to cover any lunch/snacks.
~ Please send your kids with the appropriate seasonal gear - hat, gloves, snow pants, jacket, boots, and goggles (optional)
DALE St. STUDENTS
~ Students will need to be given a "walker" note, or dropped off at the Pfaff Center upon dismissal.
~ They can eat lunch when they get to the Pfaff Center, or when they get to Nashoba.
BLAKE MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS
~ Upon dismissal, students will report to a designated area at the school where they will have time to eat lunch or have a snack. Students will then board buses and head to the Pfaff Center prior to departing for Nashoba Valley.
